Backstory

Hello, my name is Dan Richards. I'm the founder, money manager, and trading strategist for AMT CAPITAL.  

I have a great family. My amazing wife Jenny, two dogs and my 3 awesome kids, Andrew, Mya and Teddy (A. M. T.)

I have always had the Entrepreneurial spirit, from making and selling creepy crawlers and polished rocks to my classmates, finding and selling lost golf balls to golfers at the golf course, to eventually starting and growing multiple, multi-state companies with hundreds of employees and contractors, but my real passion has always been investing. It started back in 7th grade when I won the stocking trading competition in our math class, and then my aunt buying me my first share of stock (which was actually Disney stock) and she said “she wanted to say she was the first one to get me started in this way back then :)” 

Then my mom, for instilling in me the importance of saving my money. I remember her saying 50% of what I make should be getting saved. And then my mentor (who probably doesn't even know I look at him that way), that taught me about having my money make me money, the amazing wonders that is compound interest, the benefits of ROTH IRA'S and so much more. 

I've invested in all the normal things, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, 401k's, IRA's, CD'S and then eventually moved up to investing in people, their ideas, their dreams. The hardest investment to learn, was investing in myself. Using my saved money to take the leap and start a different business I have been and still involved in. 

After all of that, I wanted to get back into what I love, but to do it for other people as well. I wanted to officially start a managed fund that has no income, net worth, or geographical restrictions, so that people from any current situation can leap forward and start making their money - make them real money and real returns, versus what most people are custom to seeing. 

That example being most people get ecstatic to hear they can see returns of 10% a year but most high net worth individuals won't entertain an investment if they don't at least double their investment. I want everyone to have that same accessibility to a high return, fully managed fund, and that's why I started AMT CAPITAL.
